Before 1949, China was known as a democratic country. The entire country was led by the Kuomintang Party, which was founded in 1912.
The founder of the party was Sun Yat-sen. He believed in democratic values. A few years later, Communist forces under the leadership of Mao Zedong began to rise rapidly in the country. After which civil war started in China. The Chinese Civil War ended in 1949 with the victory of Mao Zedong’s Communist movement and the defeat of Chiang Kai-shek’s ruling Kuomintang Party. The Kuomintang took refuge in Taiwan. A similar situation has existed between China and Taiwan for the last 76 years.

The Communist Party of China considers Taiwan to be part of the Republic of China. In this series, two attempts were made to unite the whole of China by occupying Taiwan. Mao Zedong of the Communist Party decided that in order to capture Taiwan it was necessary to first capture its neighboring islands of Kinmen and Matsu. Kinman consists of two large islands and thirteen smaller islands. Being closest to the Taiwanese territories, Mao Zedong decided to target them first.
Kinmen’s geographical location proved advantageous to the Taiwanese military. Earlier there was a plan to send about 10,000 troops to the island. It was planned that after the capture of the island, an additional 10 thousand troops would be sent. They felt that this would be the right strategy to defeat the Taiwanese army.
