Punjab’s Tarn Taran Police has arrested jailed gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and five members of Amritpal Bath gang. Arms and ammunition have been recovered from their possession.

Tarn Taran SSP Abhimanyu Rana said that the arrested persons have been identified as Gurmeet Singh alias Rawal, resident of Bhagwanpur village of Batala, Harpal Singh resident of Noorpur village of Gurdaspur, Lovepreet Singh alias NP, Shamsher Singh alias Shera Pasian and Sandeep Singh alias Goli of Nawanpind village of Amritsar. Residents are born in the form of Kot Khalsa. Police teams have recovered four weapons from their possession, which include USA made 9 mm Glock pistol, two 32 bore pistols, 15 live cartridges, three magazines and a country made pistol.

Additionally, the police teams have also seized the unmarked Hyundai Creta car used by the accused to commit the crimes. During interrogation, the arrested criminals admitted that the seized weapons were supplied by Jaggu Bhagwanpuria through his associates and they were planning to carry out the murders at the behest of gangster Amritpal Bath.

Tarn Taran SSP Abhimanyu Rana told in the press conference that after receiving information about suspicious persons traveling in a Hyundai Creta car, the police team led by CIA Staff Tarn Taran Incharge Amandeep Singh stopped the car by setting up a naka on the Jandiala to Tarn Taran road and The riders Gurmeet Singh alias Rawal, Lovepreet Singh alias NP and Harpal Singh were immediately arrested.

He said that after interrogating the arrested criminals, two other gang members Shamsher Singh alias Shera Pasiyan and Sandeep Singh alias Goli have also been arrested.
