Bengaluru Police has recently arrested three people including the deceased’s wife in connection with the suicide of engineer Subhash Atul. This information has been given by the official on Sunday.

Subhash’s wife Nikita Singhania has been arrested from Gurugram (Haryana), while his mother Nisha Singhania and brother Anurag Singhania were arrested from Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh for allegedly abetting Subhash’s suicide, a Bengaluru police official said. . He said that he was arrested on Sunday morning and brought to Bengaluru. After this, the police produced them in the local court and the court sent the accused to judicial custody for 14 days. A senior Prayagraj police official claimed on Sunday that Bengaluru police did not inform them about the arrest of Nisha Singhania and Anurag Singhania.

It is to be noted that 34-year-old Subhash committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Munnekolallu, South East Bengaluru on December 9. Before he died, he left behind lengthy videos and suicide notes, in which he accused his wife and in-laws of forcing him to commit suicide through “false” affairs and “constant torture”.

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said that Subhash’s wife, mother-in-law and brother-in-law have been arrested and are in judicial custody. Further investigation of the matter is ongoing. Addressing reporters in Bengaluru, Parameshwar said, “He (Subhash) has written a suicide note of about 40 pages, in which he has raised many issues. The most important issue raised is the misuse of laws designed to protect women. He has said that many cases were registered against him and he was pressured to pay Rs 3 crore.

Nikita Singhania and Sushil Singhania’s houses in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur were found deserted on Sunday. The main gates of the houses were closed, the balcony doors and all the windows etc. were closed and the curtains were drawn. According to some local residents, the house is empty after the trio escaped. Meanwhile, media personnel could be seen making videos and taking photographs of ‘Gita Bhavan’ at Sushil Singhania’s house which is in a narrow lane. -News-Patiala
