At the age of just seven, Tanuja stepped as a child artist in ‘Hamari Beti’ in 1950. But the real start in 1960 with ‘Chhabili’, directed by mother Shobhana Samarth. After this, his pair with Dev Anand made a splash in ‘Jewel Thef’. Her spontaneity and screen presence included her among the most favorite actresses of the 60s and 70s.
