School Bag Special Budget: The Uttar Pradesh government has approved a sum of Rs. 280 crore for the first-year-old students for the first to eighth grade students for 2025-26. This budget is specifically kept for purchase of school bags.
This amount will reach the beneficiaries directly via DBT
Children will be sent to Link Bank Accounts with their basis through the DBT Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Will ensure transparency with this system and can be avoided with any disturbance.
Who will get this plan benefit?
The government has issued the necessary guidelines to the director of the basic education director to ensure proper use of the budget. They will monitor the entire distribution process. The utility will be given to the students being run by the Council, Government, Social Welfare and Students studying in support schools. This step would benefit about 1.93 crore students in the state.
Each year students receives a support of Rs. 1200
The state government already provides students with Rs 1,200 for students for uniforms, shoes, mova, stationary and bags. But this time the additional budget of Rs 280 crore has been approved separately for the purchase of bags.
This step will not only meet the needs of the students but also to improve the quality of education and connect students to schools.
