Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Thursday met the family of a 12-year-old boy who died in a private school here and assured them of all possible help and a thorough investigation into the incident. The Chief Minister said that law and order has broken down in Delhi and it is affecting children as well. Prince (12), a class six student, died after a fight with some students at his school when he was hit on the shoulder by one of them. The police have arrested one of his classmates in this case. Talking to reporters in Kusampur Pahari, Atishi said that the death of the child in the school is very sad. We are conducting an investigation by the education department and if any negligence of the school is found then action will be taken against the school management. After meeting Prince’s family, he reassured the parents in Vasant Vihar. Later, in a post on X, the Chief Minister hit out at the BJP-led central government over the law and order situation in the national capital. He said that the way crime is spreading in Delhi today, law and order has ended. Violence, murders and shootings have become commonplace. It is also affecting children. This is very worrying. Law and order and police of Delhi come under the Centre. It is worth mentioning that after the death of Prince, anger spread among parents and local people. Meanwhile, the family members protested outside the school and demanded justice. The protesters have demanded a thorough investigation.

The partner of the deceased boy was arrested

A student of a private school in south-west Delhi has been arrested on charges of allegedly murdering one of his classmates. According to the FIR, the student was allegedly involved in pushing the boy to school, before collapsing, foaming at the mouth and fainting. A senior official said that during the CCTV footage, the boy is seen punching his classmate. He denied that the boy’s head was hit against the wall. The minor told the police that there was an argument over a minor issue. The police official said that the role of the school management will be probed, while teachers and other staff are likely to be called for questioning. The minor’s father works at an agency that helps students get visas. Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased protested by keeping the body outside the school. The child’s uncle accused the police of beating him up and hurling dangs at him. He claimed that he was forcibly taken to perform the last rites of the boy. They also detained many people who came to support us. On the other hand, the police officer denied these claims and said that he never harassed anyone and did not force him to perform the last rites. Some people were detained but later released, an official said. The child’s family claimed that he belonged to the EWS category. The boy’s father repairs drains while his mother does domestic work. The uncle said Prince played soccer for the school team and won several medals. His dream was to become a footballer.
