A school teacher in the US state of Tennessee has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for raping a 12-year-old boy in her home. Alyssa McCammon, a fourth-grade teacher in Tipton County, was pregnant by the 12-year-old student she raped, the New York Post reported. Alyssa McCammon is accused of having sexual relations with 21 of her students. However, he has confessed to the crimes committed against five students. Circuit Court Judge Blake Neal sentenced Alyssa McCammon to 25 years in prison on all five counts. All these sentences will run concurrently, in which he will not be granted parole.
Used to trap in the name of video game
Alyssa McCammon will have to register as a violent sex offender after her sentence and will be prohibited from contacting any of her victims. Apart from this, his teaching license has also been permanently cancelled. Local American news outlet WREG reported that the accused teacher first befriended the students’ mothers, then tracked the students on social media and lured them into her trap under the pretense of playing video games.
According to the report, she became so obsessed with the 12-year-old student that Alyssa McCammon called her more than 200 times at a time. Meanwhile, he also threatened that if she breaks the relationship with him, she will commit suicide.
According to Tipton County District Attorney Mark Davidson, he was arrested in September 2023 after 23 counts of sexual offenses against several students came to light. McCammon was granted bail, but less than a month later he attempted to speak with the student victim.
Due to this he was arrested again. McCammon, a mother of two, allegedly told one of the boy victims that she was pregnant with his child. A call from her was also played in court, in which McCammon was heard saying she was looking forward to bringing the baby into the world. After this, a DNA test revealed that the boy is the father of that child. The court has handed over the custody of the child to the victim student’s mother.
