We are talking about lyricist Shakeel Badayuni, who was born on 3 August 1916 in Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh.

After staying in Delhi for a few days, Shakeel Badayuni moved to Mumbai in 1946, so that a professional Nagma could become Nigar. Famous musician Naushad recognized his talent here.
