After staying in Delhi for a few days, Shakeel Badayuni moved to Mumbai in 1946, so that a professional Nagma could become Nigar. Famous musician Naushad recognized his talent here. An anecdote associated with this meeting is also very interesting. Actually, Naushad Saheb asked that if you tell your talent in one line. Then Badauni replied- ‘We will recite the pain of pain to the world, we will set a fire of love in every heart.’ It is from here that Shakeel Badayuni got his first film ‘Dard’.
The film’s famous song ‘Afsana Likh Hoon Hoon Dile Beerar Ka’ was written by Shakeel Badayuni. This song became a hit. After that she became a pair with Naushad. Then both of them composed some of the best songs of the 50s and 60s. In the Nag, even after years, they have the ability to penetrate the heart. Whether she is writing the Afsana of the 1947 film ‘Dard’ or the 1960 Mughal-e-Azam’s ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’, the 1960 ‘fourteenth’s moon’ is the title full of romance of the romance of the fourteenth, or the ‘O world’s keepers’, a lyrical song like Baiju Bawra.

There was a boom with songs
In 1962, a tremendous film was released ‘Sahib Biwi Aur Ghula’. In the film, the innocence of Gurudutt, who became ‘Bhootnath’ and the role of Chhoti Bahu, was liked by Tragedy Queen Meena Kumari, as much as its songs made a splash. Shakeel Badayuni expressed the pain of the wife who wooed her husband in ‘Na Ja Jaa Saiya’, then immersed in Shringar Ras ‘Piya Aiso Jiya Me Samaye…’ showed the lyricist’s pen.
Shakeel Badayuni also wrote bhajan
Shakeel Saheb did not tie himself in any limits. This is the reason that even today, a hymn, which is loved by the Indian public, was also created by Badayuni Saheb and this was- ‘Mana Tadpat Hari Darshan’. According to IANS report, this Krishna hymn was also historical. Know why? Because Shakeel Badayuni wrote, music was given by Naushad and every heart was given by Aziz Mohammad Rafi.
