American tech giant Apple launched several new products including the iPhone 17 series on 9 September. These products also include Apple Watch Ultra 3. This is the company’s most advanced watch so far, which has many features for health, fitness, safety and connectivity. Apple has also given a satellite connectivity feature in this watch. With its help, users will also be able to contact their friends or emergency services from those areas where there is no mobile network or Wi-Fi coverage. However, this feature will not work in India.
How will satellite connectivity work?
According to Apple, with the help of satellite connectivity in Watch Ultra 3, users will be able to send text messages to emergency services or saved emergency contacts in their phone. Apart from this, if this watch feels that there is a strong collision of the car or it has fallen loudly and the user has fainted, it can still send the location to the Emergency Services and Contact. Apart from the watch, this feature is also available in some smartphones of iPhone, Samsung and Google.
Why will not satellite connectivity work in India?
Apple first gave the feature of satellite connectivity in the iPhone 14 series. Now this feature has also been found in Ultra Watch 3, but it will not work in India. The reason for this is that this feature is still limited to America and Canada. This means that till now only Canada and America users can take advantage of this feature. Let us know that there is also satellite technology in India, but Apple has not yet enabled this feature here. Before rolling out this feature in different countries, Apple will also have to partner with the local satellite internet provider there. Because of this, Indian users will not be able to take advantage of satellite connectivity in Apple devices.
