The 43rd Foundation Day of Navjot Sahitya Sanstha Aur was celebrated with great enthusiasm. On this occasion, five personalities were awarded with ‘Navjot Award-2024’ during the literary event organized in Aur.
Among them, famous poet Harmeet student poetry field, Dr. Kewal Ram research field, Gurpreet Singh journalism field, Punjabi lecturer Raj Rani teaching field and Kumari Simran Simmi social field were involved. Along with this, five pioneer members of the organization Satpal Sahlon, Chaman Malpuri, Surinder Bharti, Binder Mallah Bedi’s beloved Lal Bangar were also honoured. The event was organized under the leadership of the famous Ghazalgo Gurdayal Roshan, the founder of the organization. Social worker Barjinder Singh Hussainpur attended as the chief guest on this occasion. Gurnek Sher, president of the organization, gave the welcome speech. Poetry, songs and ghazals were shared in the poet’s court. This time an inter-college-school poetry competition was organized. In the competition, Jaswinder Singh of Dilbagh Singh Government College Jadla, Inderpreet Kaur of Sikh National College Banga won the first and second positions. Prabhadeep Kaur of Amardeep Memorial College Mukandpur and Mahekpreet Kaur Khatkar of Bhai Sangat Singh Khalsa College Banga jointly bagged the third position. The first three places were awarded. On this occasion, Treasurer Harbans Kaur Kariyam, Principal Nachhatar Singh Suman, Rajni Sharma, Davinder Skohpuri, Neeru Jasal, Amar Jind, Harbans Kaur, Davinder Beghampuri, Resham Karnanvi, Hari Kishan Patwari, Raj Sohi, Sucha Ram, Ram Nath Kataria and Vinay Sharma presented works.
