Chandigarh: The government has set a target of bringing 2100 hectares in Punjab during the year 2025-26. Under the Department of forestry and Wildlife Security Department under the approval of the State Compensatory Affairs Management and Planning Authority ‘scheme to the National Authority for the final approval of the State Authority, New Delhi. The Punjab government was planted by the 1932 hectare area during 2024-25.
The post government of the 2100 hectares of government appleted the target to bring under the forest on Punjabi News-Patiala.
