Speculations of BJP and Congress making mayor together have come to an end since they did not get a clear majority in the municipal elections. The district presidents of both the parties had also accepted this and left the matter to the high command, but the chances of the BJP and the Congress making the mayor came to a screeching halt when the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Punjab in-charge. Vijay Rupani clearly said no to the alliance. He clarified by tweeting that BJP will play the role of strong opposition in Ludhiana Municipal Corporation.
After the Punjab in-charge, Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu also tweeted and shared the information that no agreement is being made with any party in Ludhiana Municipal Corporation. After the information given by these leaders through social media, the picture has become completely clear that BJP and Congress will no longer become mayors in Ludhiana. With BJP’s Punjab in-charge Vijay Rupani and Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu refusing to make any compromise, the municipal corporation now has only two options for mayor.

Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu has written on his social media account X that there is no question of alliance between BJP and Congress in Ludhiana Municipal Corporation. He wrote, “Our goal is a Congress-free India and supporting the Congress is against our principles.” Vijay Rupani has said in his statement that the people of Punjab have assigned the role of the opposition party to the Bharatiya Janata Party in the municipal elections held a few days ago. has given According to the mandate received, BJP will play the role of the opposition in the Municipal Corporation and Municipal Committees. BJP will not join hands with any other party to become mayor in any corporation or municipal committee or president in municipality.
