In village Jagmalwali this morning, unidentified robbers entered a house with the intention of looting and when the son of the house owner raised a noise, the robbers shot him and injured him and escaped from the spot. The youth admitted in this incident was admitted to a private hospital in Ludhiana by his family members. On receiving the information of this incident, the Kalanwali police reached the spot and took information about the incident.
According to information, Gurmeet Singh, posted as a teacher in Pathrala village of Punjab, lives with his parents and wife who live in Jagmalwali Dhani village. On Wednesday morning around 2.30 am, unknown robbers entered the room of his father Bhag Singh after crossing the wall of the house. The robbers pointed a pistol at Bhag Singh’s ear and asked him to hand over whatever he had to them, on which Bhag Singh and his wife resisted the robbers, but on hearing the noise, his son was sleeping in the next room. When Gurmeet Singh came out of his room, one of the unidentified robbers shot at him. Due to which Gurmeet Singh was injured and fell there. Dabbwali ASP Mayank Mudgil, Kalwanwali DSP Sandeep Dhankhar, Kalwanwali police chief Ramphal, CIA Kalwanwali, Channan Singh in charge of Singhpura outpost reached the spot along with the police team and collected information about the incident.
