Intermittent rain and bone-chilling cold since morning at the Dhabi Gujran border have failed to cool down the exhausted Kisan Morcha. Like everyday, there was a rush of people coming and going. Meanwhile, a person protested against the center by wearing a noose. During the rain, the farmers were doing langar on the border, not facing the cold. Women, children in the rain shelters and stage pandal were waiting patiently and patiently for their demands to be met, praying for the progress of Dallewal and the success of the front.
Rajwant Singh, State Secretary of Toll Plaza Workers’ Union expressed his protest against the Center and the Punjab government by wearing a noose and said that people should support the movement by staying at home on the day of ‘Punjab Bandh’. He said that the rope around the neck proves that lakhs of farmers have committed suicide due to the deadly policies of the Centre, but the government is not paying attention. Sarpanch Gurwinder Singh, Balveer Singh, Ginder Singh, Jagtar Singh of Gram Panchayat Jalur have passed a resolution with the villagers in favor of the farmers’ demands and sent it to the center, a copy of which has been handed over to the farmers’ leaders at the border.
