The Supreme Court issued orders regarding Jagjit Dallewal, who was on a death fast


Farmers Protest- The Supreme Court has expressed concern over the health of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who is on a death fast. The high court ordered the Punjab and Central governments to provide immediate medical assistance to the farmer leader.

The Supreme Court also asked the central and state governments to persuade the farmer leader to break his death fast. However, the court also said that no force should be used to suppress the protest of the farmer’s leader.

The court has asked the representatives of the central and Punjab governments to meet the farmer leader Dallewal immediately in this regard. The apex court has clearly said that no force should be used to break the protest of Punjab farmer Dallewal unless it is necessary to save his life.
