The walk against drugs reached Harmandir Sahib

The walking tour called ‘Vasda Rahe Punjab’ started by Charddi Kala Foundation to make people aware about drugs has ended today by reaching Sri Harmandir Sahib. This walking journey was started from Bathinda on 12th December. At the end of this walking journey, a prayer was offered at Sri Akal Takht Sahib to end the leprosy of Punjab and the scourge of drugs. Giani Malkit Singh, Head Granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib joined in this prayer and prayed for the prosperity of Punjab. Amrit Preet Kaur Gill of Charaddi Kala Foundation said that on 12 December 2012, her brother succumbed to drugs and since then she has been trying to make people aware about drugs. In this context, ‘Vasda Rahe Punjab Padal Yatra’ has been started to create awareness against drugs. He said that during this walking journey, he has tried to tell and explain to the people that this war is their own war, which will have to be fought as a family. He said that it is necessary to win this war to keep Punjab smiling.
