Budget 2025: The Modi government can declare the implementation of the labor code rules in the budget. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sittorm can announce the plan to implement the phased labor code in the future budget. According to sources, these new labor code will be applied in three phases. Their aims to simplify labor laws so that both employees and employers can benefit both. The working hours can be extended under the new code, but the facility to function four days a week to improve the life-life and rest for three days.
Under the new labor code, employees can be increased from 8 to 12, although total work hours in a week will only be 48 hours. This means that if you work four days, you will have to work 12 hours daily and the other three days will find peace. These changes can be useful for employees that want a long weekend facility.
The government has planned to apply the Phased Labor Code so that companies and industry can create themselves accordingly.
The first step: Applied for large companies with more than 500 employees.
The second stage: Companies with 100-500 employees.
Third phase: For smaller companies with less than 100 employees.
