This is the first time that India’s daughters have won the ODI World Cup trophy. In the final match played at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, India, batting first, scored 299 runs for 7 wickets. The team’s star batsman Shefali Verma played a brilliant inning of 87 runs in 78 balls, while Deepti Sharma scored 58 runs and later showed amazing bowling skills and took 5 wickets.
