Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar of National Women Commission (NCW) said on Friday that the panel had demanded a rapid action against the Punjab Police. It may be recalled that there have been accused of sexual abuse in Jalandhar. In response to a question in a press conference, Rahutekar said the Commission had directed the Punjab police to submit a set report and the FIR in the case within three days.
He said that the case with a pastor of Punjab is a very serious and anxious matter. The way the girl was sexually exploited, he is very worrying. “We have taken a notice of the incident and asked the Punjab police what action they would do.
Police said on March 2: The matter of sexual abuse of a local hall in a village in Jalandhar district of Punjab have been registered on a complaint of 22-year-old girl. In the complaint, the girl alleged that he and his parents are going to the church since October 2017. The pastor took his mobile phone number and started sending messages. According to the complaint, he did not tell his parents about it because he was afraid of Bajinder Singh.
The complainant has told the police that 2022 Monjishinder Singh allegedly sat by a hunting cabin on Sunday and he touched him in a objectionable manner. Police said Bijinder Singh was registered against 354 A (sexual abuse), 354 D (transportation) and 506 (criminal threat) and 506 (criminal threat). -Ptyti
