The JEE Advanced 2025 exam was held on 18 May. A case related to this examination has now reached the Delhi High Court.

A student Sandhya Saluja has filed a petition in the court. The student says that at the examination center, she faced serious technical troubles and chaotic atmosphere, due to which she could not take the exam properly.

Computer screen complaint complaint

The petition states that the computer screen was continuously blinking in the first shift (9 am to 12 noon) and its brightness was very low. Because of this the paper could not be read properly. Despite giving information about technical disturbances, the examination center did not fix it.

Lizard upset the center

After this, a big lizard was repeatedly coming to the exam center in the second shift (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm) and was hovering near the seat. The invigilant took her out but she kept returning again and again. Due to this, she was nervous the whole time, causing the paper to deteriorate.

Citing these conditions, the student has requested the court that his JEE Advanced exam should not be considered valid and instead the marks of his JEE Main 2025 be recognized.

High court sought answers from officials

Taking cognizance of this, Justice Vikas Mahajan has issued notice to IIT Kanpur, NTA and Central Government. The court has asked all the parties to clarify what are the rules of conducting JEE Advanced Examination. If any information is confidential, it can be admitted to a sealed envelope. A decision can be taken only after the court gets the answer.
