In the past, the two robbers who stole jewelery worth lakhs of rupees by breaking the car window near Rajwara Dhaba in Dhanula have been arrested by the police within a few hours and have recovered jewelery worth lakhs of rupees from them. DSP Satveer Singh said that on the night of December 4, Mohali resident Dilbagh Singh and his wife Hardeep Kaur were going to leave their daughter for duty at the Air Force Station in Barmer, Rajasthan, when they stopped for tea at the Rajwara Dhaba near Dhanula. They stayed late. Meanwhile, two robbers broke their car window and stole jewelery worth lakhs of rupees from the dhaba. The team of Dhanula police station in-charge Lakhveer Singh has arrested Upendra alias Bindu and Kadar living in the VIP enclave of Zirakpur following the robbers under a special operation and recovered the stolen jewelery and other valuables from them. He said that many cases have been registered against the employees. The DSP said that the employees have been produced in the court and remanded for two days so that further inquiries can be made.
