Three gangsters arrested on the charge of shooting

Valtoha Police has arrested three gangsters on the charge of firing at a shopkeeper. It may be mentioned that gangsters opened fire on shopkeeper Baljinder Singh Bablu in the morning of November 30 because he did not pay the ransom at Valtoha, a town in the border area. The police busted a five-member gangster gang and arrested three accused, while two members of the gang are still reported to be absconding.

In this regard, DSP (Bhikhiwind) Preetinder Singh said today that the arrested gangsters have been identified as Balwinder Singh Bindu, Gurbhinder Singh both residents of Jand and Pritam Singh resident of Mahneke. He said that apart from the car used for the crime, magazine with pistol and three rounds have been recovered from the arrested accused. The officer said that the fugitive accomplices of the gangsters have been identified as Gurdev Singh resident of Jand and Amritpal Singh resident of Darewal (Kapurthala).

He told that Amritpal Singh is running a gang from Portugal. On November 26, he sent a voice message to Baljinder Singh demanding a ransom of Rs 20 lakh and threatened to shoot him if he did not pay. Valtoha Police has registered a case on the complaint of Baljinder Singh in this regard.
