Criminals have kidnapped three Hindus in Pakistan’s Punjab province. The criminals have demanded the police to release their accomplices otherwise they will kill the kidnapped people. Police gave this information on Thursday.
Police said that this kidnapping incident took place in Bhong area of Rahim Yar Khan district of Punjab province, about 400 kilometers from here. According to the police, when three Hindu youths (Shaman, Shamir and Sajan) were present near ‘Chowk Savetra Basic Health Unit (BHU)’ in Bhong, five armed dacoits abducted them and took them to Kachha (river area) area.
Later, the leader of these dacoits, Ashiq Korai, released a video message and warned Rana Ramzan, the police officer of Ahmedpur Lama police station, to release the ten members of the Korai family, otherwise they (dacoits) would not only be responsible for the kidnapping of Hindu youths. ‘They will kill but will also attack the police.’
In the video, the Hindu youth seen tied in chains is pleading with the administration for his release. Last year, 12 policemen were killed and seven were injured when dacoits attacked two police vehicles in Kachcha area of Rahim Yar Khan district.
The dacoits have such dominance in the Kachcha area of the plains of Southern Punjab province and Sindh province that even after several operations, the Punjab Police has not been able to drive them out of the area.
16 laborers kidnapped in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province
At least 16 laborers were kidnapped by armed men on Thursday in Pakistan’s restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The local police gave this information. These laborers worked in a government establishment and were abducted when they were going to the construction site in a vehicle.
Later the kidnappers set the vehicle on fire in the Kabal sports area. No group has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping. The banned organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is active in the region and has been involved in such incidents in the past.
TTP is considered close to Al-Qaeda and was formed in 2007 by merging several terrorist organizations. This organization is considered responsible for many deadly attacks in Pakistan.
In another incident, a bomb disposal unit defused a 25 kg bomb planted near Mehboob Ziarat check post in Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Local police said that the bomb was planted on the road through which the convoy of security forces was going to pass.
