Three hours jam on the railway tracks by farmers’ organizations

In view of farmers’ agitation, trains were stopped at six places in the district. At these places, the farmers staged a dharna on the railway track at 12 noon, which continued till 3 pm. Meanwhile, a total of 30 trains passing through Jalandhar were affected. Farmers in Jalandhar Cantonment, Dhanowali, Lohia Khas, Phillaur, Bhogpur and Shahkot blocked the railway tracks. Kulwinder Singh Mashiana, district president of Bhakiu Sidhupur-Ekta, said that the Centre’s indifferent attitude towards farmers will not be tolerated.
