A drug seller of Hoshiarpur, who sold medicines without a license under the Drug and Cosmetic Act, has been sentenced to 3 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 lakh by the court of Additional Sessions Judge Hoshiarpur. Zonal Licensing Authority Balram Luthra said that the drug vendor was found selling medicines in Hoshiarpur without a medicine license. He could not show the medicine bills, due to which his medicines were seized in 2015 while taking appropriate departmental action under the Drug and Cosmetic Act.
