Today is the last day of service given by Sri Akal Takht Sahib to Sukhbir Badal and other leaders as a religious punishment. Sukhbir Badal is serving his sentence at Sri Muktsar Sahib today. Sukhbir Singh Badal wore a blue robe at the gate of Gurdwara Tudi Ganti Sahib and performed his duty as a watchman for an hour, wearing a plaque with Gurbani verse on his cheek and holding a spear in his hand.
After that, on the last day of the sentence, Sukhbir Singh Badal, Balwinder Singh Bhundar, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Hira Singh Gabaria, Gulzar Singh Ranike and Sucha Singh Langah performed kirtan. After this, Juthe will serve food at Langar Hall. On the second day too, the service was conducted under tight security arrangements.
After completion of today’s sentence, 10 days of Sukhbir Badal’s sentence will be completed. Apart from Sri Muktsar Sahib, he has also completed his sentence at Sri Harmandir Sahib, Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Sri Damdama Sahib and Sri Fatehgarh Sahib. After completing his sentence today, Sukhbir Badal will reach Sri Akal Takht Sahib tomorrow (Friday). Where Sukhbir Badal will complete his sentence by bowing down with other leaders.
