A memorial service was held here today at Gurdwara Sant Sevak Bunga Mastuana Sahib to offer flowers of respect to late Jagjit Singh Sidhu, an important figure in the education sector, former Deputy Director Education Department. For the spiritual peace of late Sidhu, Sri Sahaj Path was first recited at Gurdwara Sahib and prayers were offered. After this, a tribute function was held in which former Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal addressed. On this occasion, Davinder Singh Ladi Dhos MLA Dharamkot, Gurpreet Singh Bananwali MLA Sardulgarh, Ajitinder Singh Mofar, Gurjant Singh Kuttiwal, Jagdev Singh Kamalu (three former MLAs), Constituency MLA Professor Baljinder Kaur from their father Darshan Singh Jaga, Ravipreet Singh Sidhu Constituency In-charge. Akali Dal, Dilraj Singh Bhundar were present.
Tribute to Mata Sukhdev Kaur

A memorial service was held in the name of Sukhdev Kaur, the mother of Sukhpal Singh Soni, the state committee member of Punjab Chandigarh Journalists’ Union and President of Press Club Bhagta Bhai, Sukhdev Kaur, at the local Gurdwara Patsahhi Sixth and Tenth. Leaders of various political, religious and social service organizations attended the event. Former minister of Punjab Sikandar Singh Maluka, BSP leader Dr. Joginder Singh, State Executive President of Punjab Chandigarh Journalist Union Jai Singh Chhibbar, District President Parvinder Singh Jora, Advocate Jass Bajjoana and Lachhman Singh Maluka paid homage. Former minister Gurpreet Singh Kangar, BJP leader Gurpreet Singh Maluka, Sarup Chand Singla, state president of Women’s Akali Dal Hargobind Kaur, constituency in-charge Harinder Singh Hinda Mehraj were present on this occasion.
