The power supply of the city remained closed for almost 12 hours today. This caused a lot of trouble to the residents of the city. The lamp, which was lit in the morning before dawn, could be turned on at around half past five in the evening. Due to lack of electricity in the morning, school children faced difficulty in getting ready for school. Similarly, the businesses of electricity-dependent shopkeepers and private hospital doctors remained at a standstill. As electricity did not come till evening, people’s inverters were also answered. In this regard, JE Ankit Kansal of sub-division Bhucho Kalan said that the underground power cable was burnt in Giani Market of the city, which was activated with great difficulty after finding the fault.
