Two kilos of heroin and more than one and a half kilos of opium were recovered

The district rural police arrested two persons in two separate incidents and seized 2 kg of heroin, 1 kg of 650 grams of opium, drug money and vehicles. During the press conference, SSP Charanjit Singh said that the arrested persons have been identified as Harman Singh, a resident of Baba Bakala, from whom two kilos of heroin and drug money of Rs 1 lakh 40 thousand have been recovered. A motorcycle has also been seized from him. He said that a case has been registered against Harman and his escaped accomplice Shamsher Singh alias Baba Bakala, a resident of Shera.

This operation has been done by the Ajnala Police during the checkpoint set up in Adda Mahal Bukhari. In the second incident, a person has been arrested by the Mehta police station and one kg 650 grams of opium and a vehicle have been recovered. The arrested person has been identified as Harpreet Singh alias Rinku resident of village Mirpur Fatehgarh Sahib. A case has been registered in this regard.
