Actually, Mamta Kulkarni while talking to journalists in Gorakhpur had said that Dawood Ibrahim was not a terrorist, he did not blast the bomb. He is not a terrorist. He never carried out blasts in Mumbai. However, Mamta also clarified that she never met Dawood. When she was confronted about this statement, she clarified.

‘He said these things not for Dawood Ibrahim but for Vicky’

He clarified that he had said all this not for Dawood Ibrahim but for Vicky Goswami. Some reporter had asked a question about relations with Dawood Ibrahim. On this I said that I have never met Dawood. The person I was in contact with is not anti-national. He has not caused any bomb blast. He is not a terrorist.

According to Mamta Kulkarni, the question was being asked on Dawood Ibrahim and I had spoken in relation to him. Some people are linking this statement of mine with Dawood Ibrahim without understanding the whole thing, whereas I had said that I have never met Dawood Ibrahim nor been in contact with him. There can be no comparison between him and David. I said this for Vicky Goswami. Vicky Goswami is neither a terrorist, nor anti-national, nor has he carried out any blast.

Mamta always denied the allegations

Let us tell you that she suddenly disappeared in the late 1990s. In 2016, her name cropped up in a drug smuggling case in Kenya, when her alleged husband Vikram Goswami (Vicky) was arrested. At that time, Dawood’s name was also added, because there were allegations against Vicky of rivalry between Chhota Rajan and Dawood gang. Mamta always denied these allegations. She returned to India before the Kumbh Mela of 2025. According to him, he did penance for 12 years. At the Kumbh Mela, she took up sannyasa and took up spiritual life with the name ‘Mai Mamta Nand Giri’.
