A UP youth has also been killed in the Russia-Ukraine war. This young man was fighting a war against Ukraine on behalf of Russia. According to the information received, Kanhaiya Yadav, a resident of Bankata (Bazar Gosai) village of Ronapar police station area of Azamgarh, has been killed by a bullet in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. The dead body of the youth killed in the war was brought to his village on December 23.
Family members of Faujdar Yadav’s son Kanhaiya (41) said that Kanhaiya went to Russia on January 16, 2024 with a cook’s visa through an agent. There he was trained as a cook for a few days and later after military training he was sent to the war with the Russian army. They said that Kanhaiya was injured in the war and died during treatment in June. On May 9, Kanhaiya informed his family that he was injured in the war. He was in touch with his family members till May 25 but lost contact after that.
The body was brought to Azamgarh due to the efforts of the Indian Embassy
The Indian Embassy in Moscow called on December 6 to inform Kanhaiya’s family that he died during treatment on June 17 and that his body was finally brought to his native village on December 23. Kanhaiya is survived by his wife Geeta Yadav and two sons Ajay (23) and Vijay (19). Ajay Yadav alleged that the Russian government has given Rs 30 lakh as compensation but the family has not received this compensation yet. When Kanhaiya’s dead body reached his village, a large number of people from the village and area reached his house and expressed their grief with him.
