1. Organizing ‘Developed India Youth Parliament Festival’ in Lucknow: The state level ‘Developed Youth Parliament Festival’ is being held in the Lucknow Assembly from 28 to 29 March.
On March 28, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the ‘Developed Youth Parliament Festival’.
- The purpose of this festival is to give youth participation in policy making and empower democratic values.
- This festival is being organized through the Ministry of Youth Program and Sports, Government of India.
2. ‘Tekkriti 2025’ organized in IIT Kanpur: Technical Festival Technology 2025 (Techkriti 2025) is being organized in IIT Kanpur from 27 to 30 March.
Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan inaugurated Tekkriti 2025.
- It aims to give students a chance to find new ideas of science, technology and entrepreneurship and turn them into reality.
- It is Asia’s largest inter-college technology and entrepreneurship festival.
- In this, ‘Mini Defense Expo’ is also being organized.
3. Agreement reached UPSIDA and IIT Kanpur: On 27 March, an agreement was reached between Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) and IIT Kanpur.
Under the agreement, AI-Based Surveillance Security Solutions will be developed in the industrial area of Uttar Pradesh.
- Under this, IOT sensor and AI-Powered Predictive Analytics will detect mistakes on time.
- This will improve the reliability of the industrial area infrastructure.

4. The hottest year will be 2025: On March 28, the Meteorological Department predicted the hottest year of 2025.
According to the Meteorological Department, 2024 was one of the most hot years for India.
- This year, the number of days of Heatwave (Lu) in the North-West states of the country i.e. Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Delhi is expected to double.
- The Meteorological Department has not informed how many days the effect of heatwave will be this year.
- 2025 can be the hottest year ever due to doubling the number of days of heatwave.
- In the event of the hottest year, the mercury can remain 5 degrees or more than normal.
5. Immigration and Foreigners Bill 2025 Pass: On March 27, the ‘Immigration and Foreigners Bill 2025’ passed in the Lok Sabha.
Home Minister Amit Shah spoke in Lok Sabha on March 28 on Immigration and Foreigners Bill 2025.
- This bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha on 11 March.
- The objective of this bill is to streamline processes related to immigration in India, prevent illegal migration and strengthen national security.
- The bill also ensures protecting the rights of real visitors and refugees.
- According to the bill, if a person illegally brings, stays or settled a foreigner to the country, he can be imprisoned for 3 years or a fine of Rs 2 to 5 lakhs or both.

6. Earthquake in Myanmar: On March 28, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake occurred in India’s neighboring country Myanmar.
The epicenter of this earthquake was at a depth of 10 km in 16 km (10 mi) north-west from the city of Sagiing in Myanmar.
- Its shocks were felt in 5 five countries including India, Thailand, Bangladesh and China.
- Emergency has been declared in Thailand due to heavy destruction due to this earthquake.
