1. Storyist Uday Prakash received ‘Agnayya Smriti Samman 2025’: On March 7, narrator and poet Uday Prakash was awarded the ‘Agnayya Smriti Samman-2025’.
On 7 March, the award was given on the occasion of the 114th birth anniversary of Sachchidanand Hiranand Vatsyayan Agnayya.

2. Inauguration of Rangotsav-2025 in Mathura: On 7 March, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Rangotsav-2025 in Mathura.
The event has been organized at Radha Bihari Inter College in Barsana, Mathura.

3. Fisheries Startup Conclave 2.0 was organized: Fisheries Startup Conclave 2.0 is being held on 8 March in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The fisheries department is organizing it under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy.
- The Startup Conclave 2.0 will bring the major stakeholders together to discuss and promote innovation in the fisheries sector.
- The National Fisheries Digital Platform (NFDP) mobile app will also be launched in Startup Conclave 2.0.
4. National Conference organized on International Women’s Day in New Delhi: Today, on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, a national level conference is being held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
President Draupadi Murmu will inaugurate the National Conference on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
- The theme of this national conference is ‘India’s developed India’.
- A comprehensive campaign is also being run on the occasion through #ShebuildsBharat.
- The program will participate in the program along with armed forces and paramilitary forces and women officials of Delhi Police as well as ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ volunteers, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, members of self-help groups.
5. Jan Aushadhi Day 2025: Jan Aushadhi Day-2025 was celebrated on 7 March.
The purpose of this day is to raise awareness about medicines and promote the use of generic medicines.
- A week -long programs are organized across the country from 1 to 7 March each year to support this initiative.
- The day is organized by the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fair.
6. Agreement between Jammu and Kashmir Government and IWAI to promote river cruise tourism: On March 6, an agreement was reached between the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) to promote river cruise tourism.
The Indian Inland Waterways Authority (IWAI) works under the Union Port, Ship Transport and Waterways Ministry.
- The purpose of this agreement is to further promote tourism, create employment, promote economic development and provide a new way of holiday/budget tourism on rivers in Jammu and Kashmir.
- Out of the 111 national waterways of the country, the Union Territory has three declared national waterways in Jammu and Kashmir-Dadi Chenab (NW-26), River Jhelum (NW-49) and River Ravi (NW-84).

7. Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the highest national award of Barbados: On March 6, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded the ‘Honorary Order of Freedom’, the highest national award of Latin American country Barbados.
On Thursday 6 March 2025, Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Pabitra Margerita received the award on behalf of Prime Minister Modi at a ceremony held in Brijtown, Barbados.
- During the Kovid-19 epidemic, the Prime Minister has been honored for strategic leadership and assistance.
- In November 2024, Prime Minister Mia Amor Motali of Barbados announced the award to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
