Renowned tabla player Ustad Zakir Hussain was conferred with Purad-e-Khak in San Francisco. Famous percussionist A. Shivamani’s other artistes gave a musical farewell to the tabla player from some distance away. Hussain was buried in Fernwood Cemetery in San Francisco. Shivamani and several other musicians stood at a distance and played drums to pay their respects. Dr. Consul General of India in San Francisco. K Srikar Reddy paid tribute to Hussain.
