Jammu, January 5
Four people were killed while two people including the driver are missing after a vehicle skidded off the road and fell into the river in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir today. Relief and rescue operations are going on. The accident took place in Padar area. The police could not immediately identify the vehicle.
Saddened to learn just now that 4 of the passengers travelling in the vehicle have been found dead on the spot. Two other persons, including the driver, are not traced as yet. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families. Om Shanti 🙏🏻

Member of Parliament from Udhampur and Union Minister Jitendra Singh has expressed grief over the loss of lives in the accident. However, he said that he is in touch with the higher authorities regarding the relief and rescue operations. -News-Patiala
