Sunil Shetty was born on 11 August 1961 in Mulki city of Mangalore district of Karnataka. He belongs to a middle class Tulu -speaking family. His father Veerappa Shetty came to Mumbai in search of work and came here and started the work of waiter in a small hotel in Juhu area. They used to work hard day and night, clean the tables, wash plates, serve food to customers… they used to do all these things to give their children a better future and run the family. Sunil Shetty’s childhood was normal. Due to being in Juhu, he often used to watch the shooting of films and from here his inclination moved towards acting. One day he went to see the shooting of the film where Amitabh Bachchan and Zeenat Aman were shooting for the film ‘Don’. He wanted to meet Big B, but the guards stopped. But when Amitabh’s eyes fell on him, he asked the guards to bring him in. At that time, Bachchan Saheb also gave Sunil his number, but Sunil never called, thinking that it would probably be wrong. Without a film background, she stepped into acting and started her film career in 1992 with ‘Balwan’, with her heroine Divya Bharti. The film was successful and the audience appreciated him as an action hero. After this, he worked in many hit films like ‘Tau Hamara Hai’, ‘Mohra’, ‘Gopi Kishan’, ‘End’, ‘Dilwale’, ‘Security’, ‘Border’, ‘Rakshak’, ‘Bhai’, ‘Prithvi’, ‘Krishna’, ‘Hera Pheri’.
