Punjab Weather News: The weather of Punjab has suddenly changed. It is raining heavily in many districts. It is raining in many districts including Sangrur, Patiala, Faridkot, Pathankot, Bathinda, Muktsar Sahib. The rain may continue for the next few days. Heavy rain has been predicted in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi on December 26. The cold will increase further in Delhi-NCR. During this time, strong winds and hail may also occur.

Apart from Delhi NCR, other plains states, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh will remain foggy, the Meteorological Department said. The maximum temperature in Delhi can be 23 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 7 degrees. There will be light to moderate fog between December 23 and 26. Rain is likely on December 26 and 27.

The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall in many states including Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu due to the deep depression over the Bay of Bengal. The weather department says that due to rain, the cold will increase in the plains. The Meteorological Department has issued severe frost warning in Delhi-NCR with dense fog in the morning and night.

Temperature in the next 24 hours
The Meteorological Department said that there is no significant change in the minimum temperature over northwest and central India during the next 24 hours, after which there will be an increase of 2-3 degree Celsius. No significant change in minimum temperature is likely to occur over West and East India (except Gujarat state) during the next 4-5 days.

The Meteorological Department said that cold wave to severe cold wave conditions are likely to occur in some parts of Himachal Pradesh during December 23 to 25. There is a possibility of cold wave in different areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh from December 23 to 26 and in Punjab and Rajasthan from December 22 to 27.
