5G Network in Bangladesh: The speed of mobile networks is increasing continuously worldwide. After 2G and 3G, 4G changed the way to use internet and now it’s 5G network. Rapid work is also being done in Asian countries regarding 5G. There are already 5G services in India, but the question arises that how far this technology has progressed in our neighboring countries Bangladesh and Pakistan. Let’s know the condition of both countries.
5G network status in Bangladesh
Bangladesh started the 5G network in the end of 2021. The country’s government telecom company Teletalk launched 5G trials in Dhaka and some big cities. In the initial phase, this service was for limited places and limited users. However, so far 5G in Bangladesh has not fully reached the common people.
The main reason for this is expensive technology, reduced 5G towers and large investment needs to meet high-speed internet demand. The government of the country is trying to expand it with private companies in the coming time. That is, 5G is present in Bangladesh but it is not running on a large scale yet. At present, it has access to selected cities and areas only.
5G condition in Pakistan
The status of Pakistan is also behind Bangladesh. The 5G network has not been launched there yet. The government and telecom companies have talked about 5G trials many times but it has been limited to testing only. In Pakistan, 4G networks do not function properly in many places, due to which it is challenging to implement 5G. The economic situation of the country and lack of huge expenditure on the telecom sector is also a major obstacle in this. The government of Pakistan had announced that 5G service will start in the coming years but no confirmed timeline is fixed.
Both countries compared to India
India has been launched in India since October 2022 and now it has reached almost all major cities and towns. Even in villages, companies are gradually increasing 5G coverage. At the same time, Bangladesh and Pakistan are still behind in this race. Bangladesh may have launched 5G trials but it is not easily available for common users. At the same time, the journey of 5G in Pakistan has not started yet.
