New Delhi: Vijay Verma has been a student of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). He dominated the audience by doing brilliant work in films like ‘Mirzapur’, ‘Dahar’ and ‘Darlings’. Actor Vijay Verma now narrated an interesting anecdote related to his life, which had turned his luck. The actor said that he had made an application secretly here and ran away from home after being selected. The actor told that he had applied to the Film and Television Institute of India without telling his parents and he was not happy with it when he got the news. He ran away from home to enroll in the institute.

Vijay appeared on Farah Khan’s YouTube channel, where he spoke on many issues related to life along with his career. Farah asked Vijay that on how he came to Mumbai from Hyderabad, the actor told, ‘I had run away from there. Usually people run away from home and then wonder what to do. But I applied to the film school and I was selected there. I had taken the help of friends to reach there, because my parents were not happy with this news.

Mom-father is happy now
Farah Khan questioned the reaction of his parents, to which he said, ‘He, especially my father, was against this decision. When he got the news, he expressed his displeasure. However, now they are happy with my decision. Asked if he signed a film in South Indian films, he told, ‘I have signed a Telugu film after many years.’

Vijay worked in the 2016 Crime Drama ‘Pink’. The film stars Taapsee Pannu, Amitabh Bachchan, Angad Bedi and other stars in important roles.
