Where will the Bullet Train pass in Punjab, the route has been revealed, the land acquisition process has started


Delhi-Amritsar Bullet Train– The central government has started a survey to run a bullet train from the national capital to Amritsar in Punjab. Land will be acquired from 343 villages of Haryana and Punjab for the bullet train project. After the completion of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, a bullet train will be run between Delhi and Amritsar. The central government is planning to run bullet trains on ten routes. Their viability (Feasibility) report has been prepared. Now the survey has started on the Delhi-Amritsar road and talks with the farmers regarding land acquisition have also started.

The total length of the Delhi-Amritsar bullet train route will be 465 km. The bullet train will reach Amritsar via Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar, Sonepat, Panipat, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Ambala, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar from Delhi. This bullet train running between Delhi and Amritsar will stop at a total of 15 stations including Chandigarh. The maximum speed of the train will be 350 km per hour. Walking speed 320 km (Delhi-Amritsar Bullet Train) per hour while the average speed will be 250 km per hour. This train will be able to carry around 750 passengers at a time.

It will take less than two hours to go from Amritsar to Delhi
By running the bullet train, the journey from Delhi to Amritsar will take much less time. The bullet train will run at an average speed of 250 km per hour. So it will take less than two hours to cover the distance of 465 km between Delhi-Amritsar. On the route from Delhi to Amritsar via Haryana, one station will be built in each district, which is estimated to cost 61 thousand crore rupees.

Land will be acquired from 343 villages
Land will be acquired in a total of 343 villages in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab. Lands will be taken from 186 villages in Punjab, including 39 from Mohali, 49 from Jalandhar, 37 from Ludhiana, 22 from Amritsar, 25 from Fatehgarh Sahib, 12 from Kapurthala and one each from Tarn Taran and Rupnagar.

This railway line will pass through 24 villages of Derabassi sub-division of Mohali district. The land of nine villages Bakarpur, Roorka, Kambala, Chilla, Raipur Khurd, Durali, Suneta, Raipur Kalan, Shampur of Mohali Tehsil will be acquired under this project.

Under this, the land of six villages Bharatpur, Giddarpur, Chuhar Majra, Machhali Kalan, Todar Majra and Majat of Kharar Tehsil will come. Farmers will be provided five times the collector rate of each village for land.

Farmers will get five times compensation
The IIMR agency is holding regular meetings with the farmers of the villages coming under the purview of the new railway line. Farmers will be compensated for their land at five times the collector rate of each village. In this regard, Central and Railway officials are conducting a large-scale survey.
