Washington: American billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy has now left the Trump team. Ramaswamy is no longer part of the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Officials made the announcement just hours after US President Donald Trump took office. But it is not that Ramaswamy has been removed by Trump. Rather, Ramaswamy himself has decided to step down. The reason for this is that Ramaswamy is preparing his candidacy for governor of Ohio. DOGE is designed to reduce government spending. Now Elon Musk will lead it alone.
Ramaswamy confirmed his departure from DOGE in a post on x. He wrote, ‘It was an honor to help establish DOGE.’ I believe that Elon Musk and his team will succeed in streamlining the government. He added, ‘I will soon share information about my future plans in Ohio.’ Most importantly, we will help carry out President Trump’s ‘Make America Great Again’ initiative. Ramaswamy shared a photo of himself with Elon Musk and wrote, ‘A new dawn.’

Plan to fight the election
Before entering politics, Vivek Ramaswamy ran a biotech company. He is one of the richest people in the world. He wanted to run for US President. But they are staunch supporters of Trump. Ramaswamy has indicated that he plans to run for governor in Ohio in 2026.
