Apple iPhone 17 Air: Apple is going to introduce new smartphones of its iPhone 17 series soon, with the most discussed about iPhone 17 Air (or iPhone 17 Slim). It is expected that this new model will be launched in September with iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. It is believed that the iPhone 17 Air will replace the existing iPhone 16 Plus and it will be the thinnest iPhone ever.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will also be thinner
According to a new report, the thickness of the iPhone 17 Air can be just 5.5mm which will make it thinner than Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, whose thickness is said to be about 5.8mm. This information has been shared by a tipster on a navar, which cited information received from Taiwanese supply chain. The weight of the phone can be about 145 grams, so that it will not only be thin, but also quite light.
Details also leaked about battery
Some interesting information has also come out about the battery. The iPhone 17 Air can have a 2800mAh battery which is smaller than the existing iPhone models. For example, the iPhone 16 has revealed 3,561mAh and the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 4,685mAh battery. However, Apple can use high-denture battery cells this time, which can increase the battery capacity by 15-20%.
The small size of the battery can be the result of its thin design and Apple can resort to silicone-anode battery technology to balance it. Apart from this, the company can also bring accessory like an external case which will improve battery backup.
What will be features
Talking about the features, the iPhone 17 Air can get a 6.6-inch OLED screen which will support 120Hz refresh rate. For selfie, it can have a 24 -megapixel camera, while a 48 -megapixel single camera can be found on the rear side. Apple is expected to have an A18 or A19 chipset in the device.
