Many states of North India are experiencing bitter cold. Due to which the schedule has been released regarding the winter vacations in many states. Winter vacations can be extended as the weather gets colder. Most of the schools have holidays from December 25 to December 31, but the Delhi government has announced winter holidays from January 1. Delhi winters are famous all over the country. With the beginning of December, the cold had knocked in Delhi as well. Since then school children have their eyes fixed on the holiday calendar. Delhi Directorate of Education has recently announced winter vacation for all government and recognized schools in Delhi. According to this, there will be holidays in Delhi schools from 1 to 15 January 2025 under the winter vacation.
However, to boost the academic performance of the students, the directorate has also announced to conduct 10 days of extra (remedial) classes for students studying in classes 9 to 12 during winter vacations of Delhi Schools (Delhi Schools Winter Vacation). . This will benefit the students who are weak in studies and they will be able to prepare better for finals and board exams 2025. Schools can also take their own decisions in this regard.
These subjects will be studied during winter vacations
The Delhi Education Directorate has ordered the school teachers to teach students from class 9 to 12. The teachers will teach English, Science and Mathematics subjects to Class 9 and 11 students every day in the extra classes conducted during the winter vacation. Along with this, 10th and 12th class students will have to focus on revising and solving pre-board question papers. Subject wise teachers are also asked to tell their students how to solve the board paper properly.

Students will come in school dress
The Delhi Education Directorate has ordered students to wear school dress even during extra classes. Guest teachers or contract teachers can teach remedial classes. Also, the directorate said, students and their parents will be informed about these classes in advance through morning/evening assemblies, SMC meetings, note in school diary and group SMS facility etc. The HOS has to ensure that all students can attend these classes
