Pakistan and Nepal won the fourth place playoff match in the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup here today. Pakistan defeated Samoa by 52 runs on the strength of young fast bowler Hania Ahmer’s four wickets. On the other hand, Nepal beat Malaysia by seven wickets in a low-scoring match. Super-6 matches will be played on Saturday. Batting first, Pakistan scored 136 for eight in the allotted 20 overs and then bowled out Samoa for 84 in 18.5 overs. Hania took four wickets for 20 runs from Pakistan. In another match, Nepal bowled out Malaysia for just 45 runs and then registered an easy win by 47 runs for three wickets in 11 overs. Captain Pooja Mehto took four wickets and Rachna Chaudhary took three wickets. -News-Patiala
