ICC World Test Championship: South Africa beat Sri Lanka by 109 runs to claim the top spot in the ICC World Test Championship rankings. Earlier this place was occupied by Australia. India is now at the third position in this ranking.
South Africa now has 63.33 per cent points after 10 matches while Australia has 60.71 per cent points. India were leading the rankings after their big win in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy opener in Perth, but India’s score dropped from 61.11 per cent to 57.29 per cent after the loss in the Adelaide Test. India will have to beat Australia in the remaining three Tests to reach the WTC final for the third time next year.
