Team India has suffered a major setback before the Women’s ODI World Cup. Wicketkeeper batter Yastika Bhatia is out due to knee injury. She will not be able to play an ODI series against Australia before the ICC tournament. Uma Chhetri replaced Yastika in the squad.
The World Cup will be played in India and Sri Lanka from 30 September. Team India’s first match is to be held in Guwahati from Sri Lanka. 8 teams will participate in the tournament. Each team will play 7 matches in the group stage.

Yastika suffered a knee injury during practice in this camp. 23 -year -old Uma Chhetri replaced Yastika in Squad and World Cup Squad against Australia. Uma Chhetri’s name was removed from India-A team after the entry in India’s senior team. The India-A team will play the World Cup warm-up match against South Africa on 28 September.
