Now there have been many such incidents on quick-commerce, where different rates are being taken for the same goods based on the device. The latest case is of Zepto, who is charging more money from iPhone users for vegetables and fruits.
Vegetables are getting expensive for iPhone users
While the onion rate is being shown at Rs 57 on Zepto’s iPhone app, the rate of onion on Android app is seen as Rs 43. Despite the bean location, this is not the only case of showing different rates of the same vegetable. For Shimla Apple, Zepto is taking Rs 123 from iPhone users, while Android users are being sold for Rs 100. Many users have reported about discrimination in prices.

While sharing two screenshots, Horse Power CEO Vinita Singh said that she is seeing 500 grams of capsicum on ZEPTO’s iPhone app at Rs 107, while 500 grams of capsicum is available on Android device for Rs 21. He asked Zepto questions and said that both screenshots have been taken at the same time, but why so much difference in prices? Many other users have also made such complaints.
Users pointing to the fees of Apple’s app store
Some users have said that this practice of Zepto is completely wrong, while some users say that Apple charges more for the app on their app store. However, there is no response from the company yet.
