New Delhi: Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhava’ was surrounded by controversies even before its release. Despite this, the film was successful in earning a rage at the box office. The audience liked the story of the film and the acting of Vicky Kaushal, however, the film is being held responsible for the Nagpur violence. There is a lot of politics on the film, in the meantime, a complaint has been filed on the illegal spread of the observance on the digital platform. On the complaint of a person named Rajat Rahul Haksar, the police has registered a case, who is the CEO of the anti-piracy agency ‘August Entertainment Private Limited’.
The producer of Chhava, Medock Films, is taking his services in action against anti-piracy. The complainant said that the film ‘Chhava’ was released across India on 14 February 2025, but it was illegally made available through 1,818 Internet link, violating copyright laws and affected its theater distribution.
Case filed in many sections
A case has been registered under CR No. 23/2025 in South Cyber Police Station under Section 316 (2) and 308 (3) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS), Section 51, 63 and 65A of the Copyright Act, Section 6AA of the Cinematograph Act, 1952 (Amendment 2023) and Section 6A3 and 66 of the IT Act. Investigation is going on in the cyber police case.
‘Chhawa’ moving towards 600 crores
‘Chhava’ has been directed by Laxman Utekar. This is the highest grossing film of Vicky Kaushal’s career. Fans hope that it will touch the 600 crore mark before the release of ‘Sikandar’. According to the report by Second, ‘Chhava’ has collected Rs 584.09 crore in 35 days.
