New Delhi: Isha Deol is the daughter of Hema Malini and Dharmendra. He married his childhood love Bharat Takhtani, but his marriage broke up after 11 years. Isha recently revealed that mother Hema Malini had advised her to stay financially independent and never stop romance.
Isha Deol said in a conversation with ‘The Quint’, ‘I think that every mother wants to tell her daughters, especially daughters… Yes, sons do it anyway but it is very important for daughters that they have their own identity even after marriage. He always told me that you have worked hard and have earned a name and you have a profession. Even if you have not earned a name, you have a profession, that is your thing. Never leave him. Try to work.
Hema Malini’s important advice
Isha further said, ‘Always be financially independent, even if you marry a millionaire… But the person’s personality becomes very different due to your own financial independence. Another very sweet thing that he has told me, we do a lot of things in life – work, care, everything. He said that one thing which is very important in life and should never die, is romance. He said that this is something that gives a feeling like butterflies in your stomach, this is the feeling that we all want. This advice is in my mind but I have not yet implemented it.
Isha Deol wishes
Isha also spoke openly about the break from her acting and said, ‘My break was to start a family completely and I have become a mother twice, so it is easily as a woman. I want to give that time to my children and correctly. He further said, ‘I always wanted to do what every girl wants to do- to get married, settle, children, and I am still doing my share work with full heart and both of my daughters enjoy the fact that their mother is an actress.’
