We are answering this question in the Champions Trophy Series Part-1. We set 6 parameters to know the strongest team.

In search of the strongest team, we learned who won the most title, who is at the forefront of winning the match. Which team has scored the most runs and which team has taken the most wickets. Not only this, the top-5 batters and bowlers of the tournament include how many players from which team.
Parameter-1: Title
India and Australia have 2–2 titles
India and Australia have won the highest 2-2 titles of the Champions Trophy.
- The Indian team won the second title in 2013 by defeating England by 5 runs under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. Earlier, the team became a joint winner with Sri Lanka under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly in 2002. Despite being reserved then the result of the match could not come.
- Australia won 2 consecutive titles in 2006 and 2009 under the captaincy of Ricky Ponting. The Australian team became the champion for the first time in 2006 to beat West Indies by 8 wickets. Then in 2009 defeated New Zealand by 6 wickets. Both times Shane Watson was elected Player of the Final.
- Pakistan, Sri Lanka, West Indies, South Africa and New Zealand have won the title once. At the same time, the English team played 2 finals in 2013 and 2004, but could not become champions.

The Indian team is at the top in terms of winning the most matches. He played the highest 29 matches in the tournament and won 18. India won 62% of matches. England, West Indies and Sri Lanka have won more than half the matches.
World champions Australia, South Africa and New Zealand teams could win half the matches. The winning percentage of Pakistan and Bangladesh was less than 50. Zimbabwe has lost all matches.

So far, 4 teams have scored more than 5 thousand runs in the Champions Trophy, out of which India is at the top. The team has scored 5815 runs. Indian players scored 10 centuries and 35 half -centuries. Indian Batters hit 601 fours and 64 sixes.
Apart from the Indian team, teams of England (5555 runs), Sri Lanka (5452 runs) and South Africa (5175 runs) have been able to score more than 5 thousand runs. New Zealand, Australia, West Indies and Pakistan have scored more than 4 thousand runs.

India is also number-1 in terms of taking the most wickets in the tournament. While Sri Lanka is second and New Zealand is third. The Indian team has taken 195 wickets. While Sri Lanka has 175 wickets and New Zealand has 172 wickets.
Talking about wicket -taking ability, Indian bowlers take wickets on every 41st ball of the tournament. South Africa and New Zealand bowlers take one wicket on every 35th ball. Sri Lankan bowlers get wickets every 39th ball.
Parameter-5: How many Batters in Top-5
2 batter from Indian, not from Australia-England
The records of the top-5 scorer of the Champions Trophy include the names of 2 Indian and Sri Lankan batsmen. A batsman belongs to the West Indies. This record does not include any batter from Australia, England, Pakistan, South Africa and New Zealand.
The West Indies’ Chris Gayle is the highest run -scorer in the Champions Trophy. Shikhar Dhawan of India is scoring 710 runs and former captain Sourav Ganguly is at 5th position for 665 runs.
Parameter-6: How many bowlers in Top-5
2 Sri Lankan bowlers, no one from India
The top -5 wickets of the tournament include no Indian bowler. New Zealand’s Kyle Mills has taken the most wickets in the Champions Trophy. He has 28 wickets in 15 matches. Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga is 25 and Muttiah Murlidhan is second and third with 24 wickets.

The team has won 2 titles equal to Australia, but the Indian team overtook the Kangaroos in terms of winning the match, scoring rate and wicket -taking ability.
